Not everyone knows that we have a National Nature Reserve on our doorstep but we do –
at Aqualate Mere just 3 miles east of Newport.
Adam Dempsey, the Reserve Manager at the Aqualate Mere National Nature Reserve, will give a presentation about this valuable site covering changes at the reserve in the last year and some exciting new projects in the near future as well as some interesting recent sightings and wildlife highlights – apparently some unusual visitors have been dropping in over the winter.
Newport Society (formerly Newport Civic Society) will be hosting the event which takes place on Tuesday 28th February 2017 at 7.30 pm in St Andrew’s Church Hall, Church Aston TF10 9JG.
Everyone is welcome to attend. A small charge is made to cover hall costs & refreshments; £1 members, £2 to non-members.
