Newport Question Time on May 5 at 7.30pm- Church Aston Church Hall

BBC Question Time eat your heart out –

Just two days before Election Day, QUESTION TIME comes to town so that residents can quiz candidates in person on May 5 at 7.30pm at Church Aston Church Hall.
Organised by Newport & District Civic Society, the event will welcome candidates from the Labour, Conservative, LibDems, Green Party and UKIP who have confirmed that Dylan Harrison, Eric Carter, Sally Wiggin , Cath Edwards and Warwick McKenzie will attend and a response is awaited from an Independent candidate.

As time is limited, questions will be taken which relate to areas in which the Civic Society is active e.g. planning, Shaping Places consultation for the Local Plan, housing numbers, affordable housing, greenfield versus brownfield, green spaces, community assets e.g. use of Market Hall building.

The event will be chaired by David Parker and a lively and informative evening is expected. This is an opportunity to question candidates on policy and issues that affect us all.
Everyone is welcome to attend – £1 for Members of the Civic Society, £2 for visitors – to include refreshments. You can join the Civic Society on the night too and enjoy a full programme for the rest of the year.
