Come on people…one last push…!

Appropriation of Station Road Land

Could we have one last attempt to ask people to email or write objections to T&W please.

The response by T&W to an emailed letter sent to the Leader of T&W, Cllr. Kuldip Sahota signed by SNC, was an email received last thing on Friday saying one of his officers would respond to the points raised and he declined to personally attend a meeting of Newport Regenerati

on Partnership on 11 September 2012 to discuss the above.

In the letter they were asked to extend the consultation period until mid-September as many people are away or looking after children in August and not to make any decision to appropriate the land for planning purposes until the Inspector issued her decision from the Town or Village Green Inquiry due to start on 24 September 2012 at The Vic.

Through another party who spoke with T&W last week, they were told that T&W would not extend the period beyond 4 pm on 31 August 2012 and would make a decision on the appropriation shortly thereafter. Should T&W act in this manner,in order that we can consider what further action to take,it is really important that as many people who wish to object actually send in an objection before 4 pm on this coming Friday 31 August 2012 even if they have previously sent an objection earlier in the year on one of the cards issued by John Rudd -T&W will only count objections responding to the Legal Notices published in the Shropshire Star on 10th and 17th August 2012.

Every single objection literally will count so please send in your objection if not done already and copy to newportvillagegreen@gmail.com

Template emails follow: Further information is in our post of 16th August.

I wish to strongly object to the proposal to appropriate the land at Station Rd for planning purposes and believe that it should be designated a Village Green. It is important that this area of land is retained for recreational and leisure pursuits into the future and not be developed for planning purposes. I shall be supporting the Village Green application at the Public Inquiry. I am also copying this letter to the Leader of the Council.

Yours sincerely,
