Breaking News – Please help to save Station Road Green Space

Last Friday T&W published a revised paper of sites to be allocated for future housing in which they propose to withdraw various sites including the land off Station Road (site H13)

i.e. it is not to be allocated for housing. Thus the draft Newport Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) can now propose the land off Station Rd. as accessible green open space without any arguments as to conflict with T&W policy.
The deadline for comment on the Newport Neighbourhood Plan is 5 pm this coming Friday 16th June 2017 so if you have not already done so please email or drop a letter in at the Guildhall along the lines of:-

I want to see the land off Station Road which was to be the site of the Sainsbury’s superstore (site H13) returned to public open space i.e. the removal of the fencing that T&W erected in 2012 in anticipation of the Sainsbury store being built and the land to be used again as public open space.
